The New York Farm Bureau Foundation for Agricultural Education, Inc. introduced a series of agricultural videos designed to promote and educate the agricultural industry across the state at the 2013 New York State Fair, held in Syracuse, N.Y. The two 12-minute videos presented agriculture via a large screen with brief text information highlighting agriculture in New York state in its various forms and locations. The videos will be used throughout the year to promote New York's diverse farms.
"As members of the New York community, we all have something to gain through an applied agricultural education program. The general public grows further away from agriculture, generation by generation, yet continues to need, demand and purchase a wide variety of agricultural products. This situation creates an elevated need for increased understanding of the agricultural industry," said Sandra Prokop, managing director of the foundation.
The foundation would like to thank the video's major sponsors, which include Farm Credit Northeast Ag Enhancement, the Northeast Ag Education Foundation, the New York Corn and Soybean Growers Association, and DuPont Pioneer.
