The Pennsylvania Farmers Union (PFU) will hold its annual convention on February 25, 2013, at Camp Hebron in Halifax, Pa. This year's theme, "Taking the Bull by the Horns: Reinvigorating the Pennsylvania Farmers Union," is inspired by the surge in interest by both new and existing members to strengthen the voice of family farms in Pennsylvania.
PFU is a grassroots farmer-driven organization that believes strong family agriculture is the basis for thriving communities. The key to its success and credibility has been its member-driven policy positions that are initiated locally. Whether it is food safety, dairy, specialty crops, water quality, livestock processing, cost-sharing, trade, combating monopolistic practices or any other issue facing family farmers, PFU listens to its members and represents them in the halls of government.
Join in setting legislative priorities for the coming year and also learn about PFU's work in bringing farm-relevant affordable insurances and discounts to its membership.
