"Northeast Agriculture - The Next Ten Years" is the topic of an 18-minute video released by Farm Credit East. The video seeks perspectives from three experts on changes and opportunities facing farming and farm-related businesses.
"Agriculture in the Northeast is a strong and vibrant part of our economy, and the outlook over the next ten years is optimistic," said Bill Lipinski, Farm Credit East CEO. "This video provides an opportunity for our farms and related businesses to hear views and advice from expert panelists so that their businesses can continue to be successful into the future."
The panel of experts included Kathryn Boor, dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University; Dr. David Kohl, professor emeritus, agricultural finance and small business management and entrepreneurship, Virginia Tech; and Chuck Conner, CEO and president, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives.
The video, moderated by Lipinski, was debuted at the organization's 19 member meetings held throughout their six-state territory of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
