Two students, Kimi Sekorski and Devin Savoy, from the Wamogo FFA Chapter were selected to represent Connecticut at National Agriculture Day in Washington DC, they were two of the only four high school students attending from around the country. The event was held March 6th to the 8th.
During this time Kimi and Devin went through leadership training learning how to speak with government officials and to perform well in interviews; they learned about the agricultural issues that are currently affecting the country. Once they improved their skills the two students met with Congressmen Courtney and representatives from the offices of Senator Lieberman and Senator Blumenthal to discuss agricultural education in Connecticut and the nation.
